Job Description

@hand is looking for Solution Developers who will design, develop, manage and support software in the @hand Solution Delivery group.  Working with small and focused teams, you will implement @hand Field Mobility Solutions, providing technical software services and specialized consulting.  In this role, you will be exposed to innovative and forward-thinking implementations of mobile and wireless technologies for Fortune 500 companies and Federal government agencies.

An ideal candidate is a solid .NET developer who can work in teams and individually and is able to develop mobile solutions based on solid software engineering principles from requirements specifications. The candidate should be well-versed in object-oriented programming techniques and have knowledge of design patterns. Candidates should have strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• You will design, develop, customize, install, test and support mobile solutions using both @hand software products, as well as .NET software components that you will code
• You will develop software components to integrate one or more existing legacy systems to the @hand Field Mobility System
• You will interact directly with the customer to help solve their business problems
• You will work with a small project team and within the constraints of the project
• You may be called upon to develop documentation and deliver presentations
• You must be willing to travel between 25%-50%

Experience

• 3-7 years of professional experience in software technology
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Proficiency with the Microsoft .NET software platform and the C# language
• Experience with relational databases, especially SQL Server and Oracle
• Experience with XML, Web services, and ASP.NET preferred
• Experience with mobile & wireless technologies preferred, but not required
• BS / MS in Computer Science or related field
• U.S. citizens and permanent residents only
