Job Description

We are looking for Software Developers to help develop the core platform upon which @hand’s custom solutions are built. Working with an experienced product development team, you will contribute to @hand’s next generation of products for mobile and wireless enterprise solutions. In this role, you will work with the newest technology in a variety of areas, including relational databases, networking, web services and user interactive web and device applications. The software you produce will run on a variety of server, desktop, and mobile devices.

An ideal candidate understands software programming and software project management and has a strong knowledge of object-oriented programming and design patterns.  They should also show a general knowledge in the various engineering principles including design, test, maintenance and quality.  The candidate should have strong written and verbal communication skills and a desire to make an impact and get things done.

Responsibilities

• You will collect requirements, write specs and develop new product features
• You will maintain existing products by extending functionality and fixing bugs and supporting customers
• You will write well-designed, well-commented and supportable code, primarily in C#, but also in C++, Java and Web languages (HTML/CSS/JavaScript)
• You will participate in developing and growing our internal engineering processes

Qualifications (required)

• 3-5 years of experience in software development
• Solid C# or Java experience
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• US citizen or permanent resident

Qualifications (preferred):

• Relational database experience (SQL Server or Oracle preferred)
• Experience with web development (ASP.NET/MVC, AJAX, jQuery, HTML, CSS)
• Experience with mobile development (Windows Mobile, iOS, Android, BlackBerry)
