February 13, 2014 - Austin, TX - @hand today announced the first release of the company’s next-generation mobile product for IBM Maximo environments. @hand “INDIGO” leverages the company’s rapidly expanding cross-platform architecture and delivers powerful applications that run on devices such as iPads and Android devices.
This release includes a tablet application with a variety of work management and asset management features. With the INDIGO application, maintenance technicians can perform functions such as work order completion and asset meter updates, as well as capture photo images and manage file attachments. The application also provides access to asset hierarchy data and detailed equipment information.
“INDIGO provides our customers with an intuitive, user-friendly application built on a market-leading mobile architecture,” according to Jason Lanier, @hand’s Vice President of Products. “Based on a decade of experience in the Maximo market, Indigo combines Maximo alignment with the configure-to-order approach that enables @hand to deliver tailored, high-precision solutions for our customers.”
As with all @hand applications, INDIGO supports connected and disconnected use cases, an important feature for customers that perform work activities in low-connectivity environments. Indigo solutions also embrace @hand’s expertise in combining standard ERP/EAM functions with more specialized, customer-specific features.
Going forward, the company plans to expand the product with inventory management features, as well as more advanced work management and maintenance functions.
