@hand Unlocks the Barriers to Mobile Field Productivity for Key Energy Services

@hand’s Field Mobility System, the leading enterprise mobility platform for mission-critical mobile work processes, has been selected by Key Energy Services for broad deployment across the enterprise

Austin, TX – April 4, 2012 - @hand, the leading provider of field mobility software solutions, announces the selection of their FMS software platform by Key Energy Services, Inc. (NYSE: KEG), the largest onshore, rig-based well servicing contractor based on the number of rigs owned, for deployment across critical operational functions in the enterprise.

Initially, Key Energy Services sought vendors to assist in converting a paper-based field ticketing process into an electronic process to streamline the conversion of booked revenue into operational cash flow. The search resulted in an enterprise-wide transformational project for Key upon selecting @hand’s highly versatile and customizable mobility platform. At Key, the @hand solution interfaces with the Oracle E-Business Suite and accelerates field productivity levels with an entire mobile inventory and asset management system.

“When we began the extensive evaluation of companies that could help us retool a paper process to an electronic process, we were looking for a very narrow solution to the problem. We have over 3,000 employees in the field, and the paper process was not optimal,” said John Hood, Chief Information Officer at Key Energy Services. “With @hand, we are able to broaden that vision to a suite of enterprise mobility solutions that address our most critical processes.”

A significant element in the @hand FMS solution will be the ability to integrate into Key’s existing customized billing system which automates and digitizes its field ticketing process.

“The mobility project at Key was not just about digitizing the field ticketing process, but more about enterprise workflow processes. @hand didn’t just give us a mobile software product - it will facilitate a fundamental shift in the way we operate,” said T.M. “Trey” Whichard, III, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Key Energy Services.

With @hand’s ability to provide solutions with capabilities beyond mobile applications that push corporate data out to mobile devices, the @hand platform delivers data integrity, process optimization and visibility across the enterprise. “@hand is committed to furthering our initiatives in the energy and natural resources markets, and this collaboration with Key Energy Services represents a critical accomplishment along this path,” said John Cannington, Chief Executive Officer of @hand.
