Once deployed, the solution will enable this customer's field sales and service personnel to manage consignment inventory. Using the @hand application, mobile users will have the ability to place customer orders, execute product fulfillment orders, and reconcile consignment inventory across customer locations. Additional planned features include barcode scanning via bluetooth devices, electronic signature capture, and full support for disconnected application use.
The customer operates in the life sciences market, where security and process compliance is an ongoing business imperative. @hand brings a wealth of experience in highly-regulated and process-centric environments, and the FMS solution will ensure data protection, compliance, and data integrity through real-time data validation and business rule execution. Much of the information captured by @hand will be routed to the customer's Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) system. @hand represents an Oracle-aligned, yet self-sufficient field mobility complement to Oracle EBS, and businesses continue to find unique value in deploying @hand solutions within Oracle EBS environments.
