@hand Establishes a World-Class Partner Ecosystem to Accelerate Market Share

@hand Announces the Strategic Build Out of a World-Class Partner Ecosystem to Accelerate Market Share in the U.S. and International Regions

AUSTIN, Texas – January 26, 2012 - @hand, a leading provider of enterprise mobility software solutions, announces the development and strategic build-out of a world-class partner ecosystem to accelerate global market share. Based on the early success and momentum of the program, @hand will continue to drive towards wider market acceptance and adoption of the partner program.

“Partners have been and will continue to be an integral part of @hand’s continuing success in the enterprise mobility market,” said Rob Beauchamp, Vice President of Field Operations. “With our strengths in solution delivery, training and support, we’ve established a partner program designed to enable and improve our partners’ success in establishing their own mobile practice around the @hand platform.”

The @hand Partner Ecosystem encompasses four significant areas of channel development including system integrators, resellers, OEM partners and referral partners. @hand has established the critical pillars of success for the Partner Ecosystem including the development of a partner marketing kit, comprehensive and scalable training program, training materials and a support infrastructure for partners. Training courses have been designed with the independent success of the partners in mind. The training curriculum for partners has been expanded to include a Fundamentals for Mobility Applications track and a Developers track for partners to learn how to leverage, creatively develop and market their own mobile applications on the @hand platform.

An important component to the Partner Ecosystem is a tailored approach to enable every role at a partner company to achieve a high level of success through active participation in the program. Future elements of the partner enablement program will include assigned account managers and customized training programs as well as self-serve, self paced training modules.

Mobile Trend #3 - Expanding User Populations

Many organizations have initiated mobile initiatives with production pilots or small-scale rollouts. 2012 brings an opportunity to broaden these deployments and leverage the successes and lessons learned across the enterprise. Because of the large and diverse nature of the constituents, enterprise mobility solutions offer the advantages of the "network effect," which dictates that the value of the network (and solutions that power it) should increase exponentially as the network of users grow. As this expansion occurs, mobile users will increasingly rely on the functions and information available to them through mobile devices, and management will increasingly rely on the enhanced quality of data in central business systems.

2012 Mobile Trend #2 - Multiple Mobile Vendors

For over a decade, some voices in the mobility market have longed for the emergence of a single mobile vendor that could empower "all things mobile" for an enterprise buyer. Now with a more evolved vendor ecosystem and more experienced buyers, there is widespread recognition that this is a false promise. Similar to the web-based application market, the volume and variety of requirements is too massive for a single vendor to possibly tackle them all with high levels of proficiency. In 2012, we expect organizations, especially the largest ones, to incorporate within their mobility strategy a small set of mobile technology providers, each with distinct strengths and focus areas.

2012 Mobile Trend #1 - The Mobile Strategy Requirement

Organizational buyers increasingly recognize that successful and strategic mobile solutions rarely result from internal "science projects" or bolt-on products from back-end system vendors. On the contrary, enterprise mobility solutions require long term planning, cross-functional analysis, and dedicated internal teams to guide vendor selection, implementation, and support. Expect this trend to continue in 2012.
